...after 20 years employed in the fluid power industry, covering positions from R&D Design Engineer, designing and testing hydraulic valves, to Technical Support Manager, analyzing failure and coordinating CAPA activities with major OEM's, to Marketing & Sales, investigating market trends and proposing to upper management new strategic product development...I'm here doing my own thing...
My last job in the O&G sector, brought me back to the design board, designing steel weldments for several skids and major Land Based Rig overhauls.

STEER SKID LOADER VALVE
This is a Skid Steer Loader Valve with Port Lock safety Redundancy.
The problem to be solved was to prevent oil flow to and from the cylinders when the operator bar is opened.
Done while at Walvoil Fluid Power, this patent still active, represents the safest operation in the conventional Cab Skid Steer Loaders Market.
Is used in all models of CASE and NEW HOLLAND SSL.
AERIAL PLATFORM CONTROL
This is a 5 Axis proportional control to be used on Aerial Platforms.
The patent was done while working for Walvoil Fluid Power during a R&D project with ALTEC.
Reducing weight in the articulated arms by removing the standard hydraulic control was the project driver.
The design didn't pass the prototype phase due to the limited accuracy of the potentiometers controls...
...but still very innovative idea considering the new advancement in electronics.

Responsible for the design and selection of all hydraulic and electronic components (as components for power units, pumps, valve etc. and explosion proof remote control systems) to be applied to the hydraulic system of land based walking drilling rig. Design of assembly weldments like walking skids, accumulator skid, stairs, and handrails etc. for major refurbishment and equipment upgrade projects of oil and gas land drilling Rigs using SolidWorks. Supplier assessment/selection and component pricing negotiation. Project management, budgeting, BOM generation, fabrication drawings, fabrication and assembly supervision.
